Após a aplicação das agulhas,  já sentia tremores nas pernas e vi-me fora do corpo diante do mesmo espírito de índio, o qual olhando-me fixamente diz: você é uma das nossas, você é uma guerreira.Olho para ele e digo: estou cansada! Ele me responde: uma guerreira nunca se cansa, combate até o fim!Respondo-lhe: mas eu estou cansada. Ele repete: uma guerreira  enfrenta a guerra. Digo-lhe que estou com muito frio e ele e aponta o "fogo sagrado" ( uma fogueira enorme que estava á nossa frente) e me faz sentar próxima ao fogo. Então ele diz: "O fogo tanto destrói quanto constrói. É uma força sagrada na natureza. Coloca sobre mim uma pele de animal, então sinto-me aquecida. Ele me levanta  e joga sobre mim uma fumaça e depois começa a dançar em círculo. Pergunto-lhe qual o significado daquilo. Ele responde: é uma cerimônia de purificação. Então ele manda que eu olhe para o sol, quando faço isso ele escreve na minha testa um sinal com tinta vermelha e repete: você é uma das nossas:  manda que eu abra os braços e me visualize como uma águia: forte e livre!!!

Do ponto de vista da Acupuntura, o tratamento foi feito para atuar sobre o estado espiritual deficiente, tonificar o espírito, unir a energia ou vitalidade dos pulmões, rins e coração, trabalhando a melancolia, medo e euforia ( num quadro patológico).
